Yamilet Oliver, MSN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC

Yamilet Oliver is a highly skilled and compassionate healthcare professional with a multifaceted career that spans over a decade in both psychiatry and general medicine. As a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC), she offers holistic, patient-centered care to individuals of all ages, addressing a wide range of medical and psychiatric conditions. Yamilet’s diverse clinical background includes experience as a Medical Doctor in Cuba and Venezuela, as well as extensive practice in the United States as a registered nurse (RN) and advanced practice nurse.

Yamilet began her medical journey in her home country of Cuba, where she obtained her Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences Carlos J. Finlay. She specialized in Infection Control and Medical Emergencies, gaining invaluable experience in adult, pediatric, and OB-GYN settings. Her international experience continued in Venezuela, where she held leadership roles in training and managing medical professionals while focusing on infectious disease management.

Upon relocating to the United States, Yamilet embraced new opportunities in healthcare, becoming a Registered Nurse and later advancing her education with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Family Nurse Practitioner certification. She worked in various settings, including Kindred Hospital, where she served as an RN on the telemetry and med-surg floors, and also as an Infection Control Practitioner. Her leadership, dedication to patient care, and ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams have earned her recognition across multiple healthcare facilities.

Yamilet’s deep commitment to mental health led her to pursue certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Regis College. Since then, she has worked in various roles providing psychiatric evaluation, psychotherapy, and medication management. Her experience spans private practice settings, telehealth platforms, and community health centers, including Regions Praxis Care Corp, Telemynd, and Serenity Community Health. In these roles, Yamilet has built strong therapeutic relationships with her patients, guiding them through treatment plans tailored to their individual needs. She integrates therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Focused Behavioral Therapy (TFBT) into her practice to help patients achieve mental wellness.

Yamilet is fluent in both English and Spanish, which allows her to connect with diverse populations and provide accessible care to a broader range of patients. Her bilingualism, combined with her extensive clinical expertise, makes her a valuable asset to any healthcare team.
